Anyway. Question is not 'why am I here.' I am here because Admiral asked and I said yes. Question is 'why was I chosen in first place.'

Look, none of us know how the Admiral chooses. Honestly, I suspect it's not something he does consciously, or he wouldn't have brought people in days before the Authority caught us.

But it is a chance to make peace with your death.

We will see. By the time I make peace with first death, I suspect another would be on the way.

Maybe. But I know there are people aboard who've never died here. Caution or luck or both.

Don't climb trees. If you see a gun, run. If someone's chasing you with a knife, run a lot faster. Don't sleep- well, that one's hard.

Greenhouse is a good place to do your part. But you probably want to set the infirmary as a goal, eventually. I assume?

Correct.

I do want to help. Doubt others believe me, but that much is true. And best way I can help is the infirmary.

There's no such thing as too many hands in there. What do you think you need to do to get there?

[tarakan]

[ Wait until everybody leaves. Inconvenience the infirmary enough that they have to let him help. ]

Prove that I am trustworthy enough to help without hurting people. Problem there is I need opportunities to prove trustworthiness.

You know why you're distrusted there, you can find ways to reassure people on the specifics.

The problem is self-perpetuating cycle. I know why I am distrusted. And will take opportunities to reassure them whenever possible. But eventually, people will have to trust me for me to fully prove myself. But why would they trust man they distrust? And so on and so forth.
