First time, broken spine. Almost drowned, but it was worse lying in the hospital tent afterwards. Second time-
[There's an unpleasant feeling up the back of her neck, and she turns, looking to see if anyone's come in. No, not here. But it might be someone she's seeing through the bugs. They don't naturally congregate, so she doesn't get any good views. She's quieter when she turns back, twiddling the crayon.]
[Her hand actually shakes as it goes to her hair, to the long scar that crosses her scalp nearly from ear to ear. It's visible as she anxiously scratches at it.]
[Taylor nods, and standing, reaches suddenly to snatch a butterfly off the nearest wall. Its wing gets a bit crumpled, but it's still alive as she hands it over to Misty.]
You can. I'm going to find him, you find her. When you're near her, don't do anything to get her attention, but crush this. That- fork, no, my range isn't that wide.
[She shakes her head, frustrated, almost frantic.] Just message me something inconsequential. Doesn't matter what. Just give me a range on how far away from me she is when you do, one to ten.
You'll have to tell me what she looks like, though - Yunlan says she's a kid with curly blond hair, but like, how curly, and what shade? Any distinguishing marks? And how old is she exactly, are we looking at, like, eight, or a young teenager?
[She pauses for breath.]
Also, you know, I could talk to her and keep her distracted.
Twelve or thirteen, less curly more wavy, about so long, dark blond. [Taylor gestures a height with her hand, quite a bit shorter than herself.] Dresses young.
[Her breath is shaking, and she has to stop a second, make herself slow down.]
You shouldn't. She's dangerous. She's been a serial killer longer than I've had powers.
Misty, she's not any more human than I am. You cannot handle her. You are not dangerous to her. My team, with enough firepower to take and hold large parts of a city full of heroes could not take her. We lost.
You're not. Don't make the mistake of thinking you can be. Or of thinking the difference between Assistant and Patient here is big enough to keep anyone from doing just what they want.
[Which Misty, of course, grabs for, along with her wearable - and after giving the paper a quick read, she folds it up and tucks it into her pocket for safekeeping. Taylor leaving it behind was an oversight, she figures, and she wouldn't want it lying around for just anyone to stumble upon.
And then she goes off to find Riley.
Twenty minutes or so later, Taylor gets a text.]
Hanging out in the bathhouse for a while today! Good times :) It's not that crowded, I'd say a 5 out of 10. Hope your day is going well! Come hang out in my cabin later!
[She knows that Taylor won't be able to reply - not unless she wants to make that reply visible to all and sundry, anyway - but she can only hope that that last bit is an offer that she'll take her up on.]

Second time was gas. Couldn't even blink.

What?

It's true! Oh, and he told me, obviously; I haven't spoken with her.

I have to talk to him. Without her knowing.

But I could help.

[Misty says, nodding enthusiastically.]

[Misty hesitates, reaching a hand out towards Taylor. Hovering.]
You're really scared of her, huh.

Besides, she's an Assistant. She has good reasons not to go after me - or you, I might add!
no subject
Be careful. I'm going to find him.
[And she is, leaving her paper behind.]
